In Germany, from January 1, introduced a new, tougher copyright law. Downloading music and movies from the Internet, as well as copying disks, bypassing security is now clearly a criminal offense.

Now, as the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media Use ' obviously illegal ' links on the Internet will become a crime.

It is also expected that in the near future, Germany will not write and record keeping programs as paid, and public television.

Therefore, as a warning of association, the most cautious Germans should be treated with any offers free downloads of audio and video.

As before, we are allowed to make copies of purchased CD and DVD-ROM drive for personal use or for friends. The number of copies of the law does not say, however, German courts have in recent years have determined the allowed maximum of 7 copies.

Expressly forbidden, according to BITKOM, make copies of discs, bypassing the copy protection. Under the law, this is a copy of ' pirate ', its production can be punished with imprisonment up to 5 years. Criminal offense is also illegal copying of recorded discs.

As a rule, you should be especially careful with any copies of feature films, as it is now almost all DVD-discs are copy protected, UNIAN reports.

The association also advises not to trust too cheap disks with music, movies or software, which the Germans would not mind to buy, while on vacation in other countries. Often these discs - professionally made pirated copies, which in case of a German customs will be confiscated.
